...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING TO EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Verdigris River at Coffeyville.

* WHEN...From this evening to early Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, Outside the levee system, the intersection of River Road and Stark Street floods. Flood waters expand to 1/4 of mile eastward on Stark Street.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 11.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 18.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 23.5 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage late Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

* WHAT...Additional hit-or-miss thunderstorms remain possible today. While widespread additional heavy rainfall is unlikely, any additional rain will only aggravate ongoing flooding concerns over southeast Kansas.

* WHERE...A portion of Southeast Kansas, including the following counties, Allen, Chautauqua, Elk, Greenwood, Labette, Montgomery, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded.
