...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM EDT FRIDAY...

* LOCATIONS...Shoreline in the District of Columbia and Arlington County and the city of Alexandria.

* TIDAL DEPARTURE...Around 2 feet above normal.

* TIMING...Around the time of high tide. High tide at Washington Channel will be at 11:55 AM and 12:07 AM tonight.

* IMPACTS...Shoreline inundation is expected along portions of the seawall adjacent to Ohio Drive and the Hains Point Loop Road, and near the Tidal Basin and Jefferson Memorial. Minor shoreline inundation up to one foot above ground is possible elsewhere.

A Coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
